Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book?
Please send us an inquiry via our “BOOK” page. From there, we will send you a unique proposal with pricing based on your picnic selection, number of guests, and more. A non- refundable retainer of 50% is due at the time of booking to reserve your date, and the remaining 50% is due 72 hours prior to the event or it will be cancelled.
What does my picnic include?
Check out our “Packages and Pricing” page for a detailed list of inclusions. We currently offer packages suitable for 2-24 people. Let us know if you have a preference of styling or want to host more than 24 additional guests. We can tailor a picnic to fit your special occasion!
How long does my picnic last?
The picnic experience is reserved for 2 hours. We will arrive to the location 30-60 minutes before your start time for setup. We will send a reminder text 15 minutes before our arrival for tear down.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to your picnic. We also offer add-ons that include charcuterie boards & desserts. Please let us know if there are allergy or food sensitivities.
Can I leave whenever I want?
If you would like to leave earlier than the arranged time, please provide us a 30 min notice via phone call or text. You are responsible for the picnic items until we are able to return and pack up. If left unattended, you may be responsible for damaged/ missing items.
How do I select a location?
Choose from one of our recommended locations or we can collaborate on a special place of choice. If you have a location in mind, please send that over with your inquiry. Backyards are also encouraged. Most state parks and some county parks require permits, so please leave enough time for that when booking. If a permit is needed, it will be added to the package cost. We currently serve our local community in the Eastern Panhandle of WV and surrounding areas of Virginia and Maryland. We serve (but are not limited to) Berkeley, Jefferson, Washington, Loudoun & Frederick Counties. We also serve Pittsburgh, PA, and surrounding areas on occasion! If you have a certain date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate.
Please note that any specific locations outside of a 20 – mile radius from zip code 25401, and 15009, may be subjected to an additional travel fee.
What is your cancellation policy?
The 50% retainer is non-refundable as it held your date and time for you and your guests. We do not offer refunds, but we can change your reservation date if we have availability for up to 60 days. After that, there is a 50% rescheduling fee to move your reservation.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather. In the event of a force majeure, we suggest you have a backup location with a covered/indoor area for you and your guests. You can also reschedule the picnic to another date, but they are non- refundable.
Running late, now what?
We understand that things happen. Please contact the provided number if you are running behind. If you are running more than 30 minutes behind, we will have to pack up the picnic and the cost will not be refunded. IF we are able to wait on site after the 30 minutes, your picnic will still complete at the original time. We may have more than one picnic that day, so we have to stay on schedule.
How much notice do you need for a booking?
1- 2 weeks to best suit your needs and give you the ultimate, prettiest picnic experience. If that much time isn’t allotted, a 72-hour notice for bookings is needed based on availability for that date/time and must be paid in full at time of booking.
What if I damage something?
If any items are damaged or missing, you will be subjected to pay for the cost, plus any additional fees. We also cannot set up in venues/homes where there is smoking. For outdoor picnics, please do not smoke around the set up. If the picnic items smell like smoke upon pick up, there may be additional cleaning or replacement fees.
What about alcohol?
We don’t provide alcohol for any of our picnic experiences. We will provide glassware to accommodate your plans if you choose to make your own arrangements. Just note most parks prohibit alcohol.
